Play in Bay

For 20 years, Play in Bay has brought joy to thousands of young children and relief to parents looking for a safe space for their kids to play for hours.

Location: 350 Dover Center Rd, Bay Village, OH 44140

The playground is fenced in and has an area for pre-schoolers and an area for school age children. Free parking is available just outside the playground gate. It is close to the Bay Village community pool, baseball and soccer fields, and tennis and basketball courts. There is something for kids of all ages.

The playground includes a variety of equipment for all ages including swings, slides, hand over hand rings, a cargo net, tire climb, pole climber, sand box area and a recently added Fit Play system that includes a 3 sided rock climbing wall, hand over hand double parallel bars, chinning bars, cargo net wall, balance beam and stepping pods.

There are benches in the playground and plenty of grassy areas for a picnic, located close to local food establishments like Pizza Hut, Subway, Java Bay, Malley’s, Dairy Queen, Gina’s Pizza, Mojo’s Coffee, Arrabiata’s Italian Restaurant and Fragapane Bakery and Deli.

Play in Bay was built in 1995 by the citizens of Bay Village, and was the genesis for the start of the Bay Village Foundation. While it is still one of the premier playgrounds on Cleveland’s Westside, the Bay Village Foundation recently raised over $100,000 to refurbish and enhance the playground. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we reopened the playground on May 13, 2017, with many new features to enjoy.
