A community group has been formed to raise funds for new playground equipment at Bradley Park, and The Bay Village Foundation has agreed to assist with this fundraising effort. The Bay Village Parks and Recreation Department has carefully chosen a design for all ages.
According to Peggy Drumm, the leader of the Bradley Park Playground Project, “the present play structure has been in need of replacement for several years, leaving the playground equipment looking outdated and unappealing. The current equipment no longer provides the creative play, activity, and learning experience our children need to grow. Our residents and children deserve better! Our goal is to make the new playground safer, more appealing and a lot more fun for children of all ages. The cost to build the new playground structure, which will be installed in multiple phases, is expected to be approximately $100,000. The City of Bay Village has agreed that this is an important project, and we are pleased to announce that the City has committed $20,000 towards the first phase of the project.”
